Santa Barbara High boys volleyball wrapped up the regular season with a three-set sweep over Santa Ynez on Senior Night on Friday, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.

The Dons honored their senior class of Will Harman, Raglan Kear, Mikey Denver, Drake Young, Jack Holdren, Dana Whitney, Jackson Dejong and Finn Whipps.

Harman had a strong performance on his senior night, collecting 12 kills to lead the team. Fellow seniors Jackson Dejong and Jack Holdren each tallied seven kills in the win.

Meanwhile, Young facilitated the offense and accumulated 29 total assists.

Santa Barbara High will now await their CIF-SS playoff seeding, which will be released on Saturday.

Bishop Diego 3, Buena 0

The Cardinals also pulled out a three-set sweep against the Bulldogs of the Channel League, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12.

Leshawn Cruz is the lone Bishop Diego senior, and he celebrated the bight with six kills and an ace.

Meanwhile, John Michael Flint kept up his strong play with nine kills and five digs. Nick Malesky also tallied eight kills and six blocks in the win.

“We’re seeing good things click into place heading into the playoffs next week,” Cardinals coach Dillan Bennett said. “Now that we’ve reached that point, anything could happen. We’re looking forward to the challenge.”

Bishop Diego ends the year with an overall record of 21-15 and a mark of 6-4 in Tri-Valley League action.

San Marcos @ Redondo Union Classic

The Royals collected a trio of wins in pool play of the Redondo Union Classic on Friday.

San Marcos improved to 30-2 on the year after defeating Valencia (25-21), Bishop Montgomery (25-11, 25-8) and JSerra (25-23, 22-25, 17-15)

With those victories, the Royals will compete in the Gold Bracket on Saturday, with play beginning at 8 a.m.
