A small but determined group of protesters gathered at the intersection of Carrillo and Chapala streets at noon Friday to mark the seven-year anniversary of the Iraq War. The demonstrators pointed out the connections between the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the economic hardships in the United States, including unemployment and lack of health care and education funding.
