Laguna Blanca girls beach volleyball captured the Tri-Valley League title with a 5-0 sweep of St. Bonaventure on Thursday.

The win caps off a perfect 8-0 league season for the Owls, who also finish the regular season with a record of 10-4.

“The whole team came out hard, ready to battle for first place in the league,” Laguna Blanca coach Rae Gulland said. “I’m really proud of the team. They implemented a lot of the strategy we worked on this week during practice.”

Sarah Woodhouse and Natalie Bianchi had a strong performance at the ones, winning 21-11, 21-16.

At court two, Regina Juhan and Sophie Otte cruised to a two-set victory, 21-13, 21-11.

The Laguna Blanca pairing of Chloe Gidney and Cyanne Blabey won the No. 3 matchup after an injury forfeit in the third set, 21-7, 17-21, 12-8.

Paloma Lujan and Danica Rux dominated their matchup against St. Bonaventure’s No. 4 duo with set scores of 21-6, 21-7.

Rounding out the wins for the Owls were Danica Damiani and Lily Rice, 21-16, 21-12.
